Hi, I am Tein :)

I’m a design leader with 10+ years of experience shaping visual identity systems, brand expression, and scalable design across digital, print, and campaign touchpoints. My work centers on translating brand strategy into cohesive, flexible visual languages that engage audiences and endure over time.

Born in Bulgaria and raised in Queens, I earned a BFA in Communication Design from Pratt Institute, where I developed a deep love of typography and illustrative graphic design, both of which continue to inform my approach today. I begin each project grounded in concept and craft, starting with a sketchbook and a cup of coffee before bringing ideas to life digitally or pen to paper.

Currently, I work at Compose[d] Creative as a Lead Designer and Illustrator, guiding brand systems, mobile-first solutions, websites, social content, print collateral, and supporting campaign materials for clients across beauty, fashion, sustainability, healthcare, non-profits, and financial services. In a small but mighty team environment, I partner closely with project managers, strategists, copywriters, animators, and front- and back-end developers, while collaborating directly with client stakeholders to ensure alignment, clarity, and consistency across touchpoints.

Brand identity has always been at the core of my work, from building identities from the ground up to evolving existing systems and stewarding their application across channels. I focus on design systems, visual consistency, and long-term scalability, balancing creative expression with business and brand goals while advocating for connected, high-quality brand experiences.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me at the dog park with my mischievous golden retriever, Eloise, at home plotting world domination with my long-haired cat, Lola, or in Fairway debating which yogurt to buy.
